About Awaken Academy

Awaken Academy’s one-of-a-kind, cohesive, comprehensive and dynamic hybrid model helps students develop the academic curiosity they need to become a generation of lifelong learners and culture shapers.

Mission, Vision, Purpose

  •  Mission, Vision, Purpose
    • Mission: to build an educational system that fosters both spiritual growth
and academic excellence. Coming alongside parents, we partner together
to disciple and educate children. Our distinctive curriculum equips
students to think critically PreK through 12 th grade. Graduates are
empowered to enter higher education or professional life with confidence,
faith, and wisdom. Communities, churches, and workplaces will be
      blessed by their godly leadership.
o Vision: In partnership with parents, we endeavor to nurture a lifelong love
of learning and an appreciation for the arts in context with a biblical
worldview. We are aiming to train up a generation of culture-shapers and
leaders who will excel in the home, in the church and marketplace.
o Purpose: Awaken Academy connects parents, teachers, and students
around the central hub of Awaken Church, providing collective oversight
with profound growth opportunities. Collective threads between the local
church and Christian institutions of higher education are maximized
through strengthened bonds of unity and rich culture of educational and
workplace influence. Students will be prepared for family life, college, and
      career.
  • How Does Awaken Academy Work?
    • In our one-of-a-kind, hybrid model, our K-12 students will spend up to 4
days of each week in grade-level classes at one of our 4 campus
locations. Using our carefully selected curriculum, the mentor teacher for
each grade will create lesson plans for use both at home and on campus.
These tools give parents the confidence to act as their children’s primary
instructor, teaching at home the other days of the week. Parents and on-
campus mentor teachers work as a team to provide a comprehensive and
      cohesive learning experience.

Designed for Engagement
Our Socratic-style classroom models cater to a variety of learning styles through lecture,
interaction, and collaborative conversation.

CORE & Elective Courses
Core courses include math, science, English, and history. Elective courses may include
theater, pottery, dance, worship band, marketplace, and entrepreneurial training plus so
much more!

Church Partnership
Our parents are joined by Awaken Church and Christian faculty to share and encourage
Biblical core values.

Mentorship
Our active family involvement creates champions deeply compelled to remain in the
Christian faith, be more civically engaged, and more secure in their identities than those
educated in the traditional system.

Program Dynamics

In our one-of-a-kind, hybrid model, our students will spend up to 4 days of each week in grade-level classes at one of our 4 campus locations. Using our carefully selected curriculum, the mentor teacher for each grade will create lesson plans for use both at home and on campus. These tools give parents the confidence to act as their children’s primary instructor, teaching at home the other days of the week. Parents and on-campus mentor teachers work as a team to provide a comprehensive and cohesive learning experience.

Our graduates become culture-shapers through educational discipleship, forming Biblical foundations, acquiring marketable skill sets, and healthy, wholesome relationships. Students gain a lifelong love of learning, an appreciation for the arts, critical reasoning skills, and a well-formed conscience.
